Li Shan Tea Region
-
Elevation: 1800 – 2600m
-
Terroir & Environment: Situated in the high-altitude mountains, the Lishan tea gardens are surrounded by pristine forests and temperate fruit belts. For much of the day, the region is bathed in Yun Wu—a thick, rolling sea of clouds and mist. This mist acts as nature’s filter, softening the sunlight and preventing bitter compounds from forming in the tea leaves.
-
Flavor Profile: Thanks to its unique high-mountain environment, the tea plant produces high levels of theanine and pectin, creating a signature “creamy” mouthfeel. Lishan tea is highly prized for its natural fruity and elegant floral scents. The taste is exceptionally sweet, smooth, and finishes with a deep, lingering aftertaste.
